Samsung may be struggling to solve its explosive Galaxy Note 7 issues, but the Korean tech giant won't let itself become paralyzed by the fiasco – The Korea Herald reports Samsung has made component orders for its upcoming Galaxy S8. Samsung is expected to unveil the anticipated Galaxy S8 March 26, 2017, a day ahead of Mobile World Congress.
According to rumors, the new Samsung flagship could feature an edge-to-edge display, which will conceal the Home button and fingerprint sensor beneath the screen. If the rumors are true, then the Galaxy S8's design is very similar to Apple insider KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's report of the 2017 iPhone 8.
Rumors also report Samsung ordered dual-lens cameras from its suppliers. Insiders have yet to confirm whether Samsung will develop the camera and camera sensors in-house or will partner with a supplier, but expect the Galaxy S8 to capture photos that rival standalone DSLR cameras.
Inside, the Galaxy S8 is expected to feature either the Exynos 8895 chip or Snapdragon 830. Via PhoneArena, the Exynos 8895 is rumored to produce 3GHz as well as 70 percent greater image processing efficiency over its predecessor. What's more, the chip is also expected to be smaller and more power-efficient than ever. Snapdragon 830 specs are limited, but is expected to boast performance on par with Exynos' latest.
