HoYoverse has announced that the new update for Genshin Impact is coming out on March 13. Update Version 4.5 is titled "Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade" and invites players to Mondstadt. There they'll need to help out Jean, Lisa, and the Knights of Favonius to develop the local alchemical potion business.
This upcoming update is set to launch a new major seasonal event which is the "Alchemical Ascension." In this one, Travelers are asked to answer the call of the Knights of Favonius and help Lisa manage an alchemical potion shop to promote this local business. It's not going to be easy since players need to handle each step of the production process. These include cultivating ingredients to concocting potions and all the way to selling these potions to customers.
The good news is that as the revenue increase, players get to expand the scale of the business. They can do this by buying more operational facilities to increase the business areas. They can also purchase exquisite potion bottles so that more potions can be sold.
Meet the Genius Designer
The upcoming update introduces players to Chiori, the genius Inazuma fashion designer and the owner of Chioriya Boutique that's in Fontaine. She joins the game as a 5-star Geo sword wielder.
During battle, she summons her automaton doll and design assistant known as "Tamoto," who can deal DMG based on Chiori's Defense and Attack. If a Geo Construct is detected to nearby, Chiori summons an additional "Tamoto." When she casts her Elemental Burst, she brings out her twin blades and then executes a clean cut which deal AoE Geo DMG.
During exploration, Chiori can increase the Movement Speed of the party members by 10% if one of the party members is wearing a non-default outfit or wind glider. She can also reveal more of the challenges and opportunities she faces in her work during Fontaine Fashion Week in her latest Story Quest.
Improvements Done
Players should be happy to know that the adventure and combat experience has been made easier with the new system optimizations. In the Paimon Menu for example, the "Training Guide" offers useful tips and suggestions to improve the characters in the party based on their level, talents, weapons, and artifacts. Let's say for example that a player wants to see what weapons a character can use. The Training Guide is going to show how to ascend the equipped weapon and even where to obtain ascension materials It also shows what weapons are commonly equipped for said character based on other players. The character's Talents interface also now display upgrade materials.
