Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint announced that it is conducting a beta from September 5 until September 9. This is going to be for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
In terms of access, those who have pre-ordered Ghost Recon Breakpoint or are currently a Uplay+ subscriber receive access to the beta. Those who registered on the website on through the Beta page are going to be randomly selected to participate. That's not all, as Ubisoft is also giving access to everyone who participated in the two OTT test phases earlier this year as a way to say thank you.
During the beta, those who qualified get access to several regions and missions in order to test out PvE either solo or up to four-player co-op. The four regions are:
- Smuggler Coves
- Mount Hodgson
- Sinking Country
- Fen Bog
For missions, there are three that are included in the beta:
- Operation Greenstone
- Two missions from the main storyline.
- Auroa Missions
- Side missions to discover more about the island and its inhabitants.
- Faction Missions
- Eight new Faction missions per day.
For those who want to test their skills, there are also three different types of Drone Areas throughout the available regions where players can battle it out against some of the toughest opponents. These are:
- Murmurs
- Small flying drones that will swarm the unprepared.
- Aamons
- Mid-size land drones that pack a punch with agility to match.
- Behemoths
- Large drones with massive firepower and heavy armor.
Ubisoft gave out a reminder that since the beta is not under NDA, everyone is free to capture and share their experiences with the community. In addition, the beta is not the final build and elements are subject to change. Participants can share their feedback and thoughts in the dedicated beta forums here.
Back in early August, Ghost Recon Breakpoint released a trailer showing the range of dedicated PC features. Highlights included the Ultra Graphics PC Mode, 4K Uncapped Frame Rate, and the Ultra Wide & Multi Monitor Support, among others. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a military shooter set in a diverse and hostile open world. The game allows players to play solo or team up together for up to four-player co-op.
