It's becoming clear that the sniper rifles are the most effective weapons in Ghost Recon Wildlands. Earlier this week, we shared the location of the HTI, which is the highest-damage-dealing sniper rifle in the game. But we don't live in a world of absolutes, and while the MSR is less powerful, its stats indicate better accuracy, range, and penetration than the HTI. Sure it's a little shy on damage, but the MSR stands to be the more versatile companion. Here's how to get the MSR sniper rifle in Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Hop in a chopper and fly for the Choza Padre Mine, located south of Araca Village in the far west of Montuyoc, which itself is in the western region of the map. Simply take down the handful of guards while you're in the chopper before landing and head towards the entrance of the mine.
The mine is heavily guarded, even featuring enemies on a mounted gun. Drive an APC to the entrance and use it for cover. Also, explosive barrels are also conveniently placed to blow up a good number of guards.
Once clear, go down the mine shaft and make the first left. The MSR will be inside a crate at the end of the corridor.
Even if you have a number of sniper rifles close at hand, you just might find a new daily in the MSR rifle. Variety is the spice of life.
