Ghostrunner released last week on PC, PS4, and Xbox One to critical acclaim. While Ghostrunner was also supposed to release for the Nintendo Switch, this version was delayed at the last moment. Developer One More Level released a statement explaining Ghostrunner's Switch delay. According to the statement, Ghostrunner on the Nintendo Switch needed additional polish, causing the version to be delayed until November.
Earlier today, the official Twitter page for Ghostrunner confirmed that it will be releasing on November 10 for the Nintendo Switch.
Publishers All In Games and 505 Games also revealed via a press release that players who buy the Switch version of Ghostrunners from the eShop from November 10 to December 10, will be rewarded with an exclusive Katana Sword and a Nintendo Switch exclusive Katana Sword.
According to the press release, Ghostrunner is designed to take full advantage of the Nintendo Switch hardware, meaning that fans can expect the game to feature motion controls and HD rumble.
Ghostrunner has received mostly positive reviews from fans and critics. Even in my experience, the game does a great job of delivering a fast-paced, ninja-styled experience. Players start as a basic ninja-assassin who simply has to rely upon his parkour and sword skills to clear levels. However, as players progress through the game, their skills continue to grow, making them super fast and a force to be reckoned with.
Ghostrunner is also confirmed to receive a free next-gen upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, fans will have to wait until 2021 until the upgrade is available.
Ghostrunner is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It will release for Nintendo Switch on November 10.
