It holds true that God of War Ragnarok continues its predecessors’ approach of introducing challenging fights – particularly those that were meant to be part of the endgame - and with every challenge comes never-ending deaths, a recurring theme in the PlayStation title. Fighting the Valkyrie Queen Gna, for instance, can exhaust players to a certain degree, especially if they do not time their skills and strategize their attacks.
Well, not all players actually, since someone has defeated the Valkyrie Queen Gna in God of War Ragnarok. It is not simply because the boss got defeated but how it was actually achieved. Believe it or not, the player did this in mere 26 seconds! Even more surprising is the fact that the feat was achieved on the highest difficulty, Give Me God of War.
A video uploaded by a Redditor shows an incredibly fast, almost impossible confrontation with Valkyrie Queen Gna in God of War Ragnarok. It is worth noting that the Valkyrie is one of the very few characters in the game that has remained extremely loyal to Odin even after the narrative’s end.
Found in Muspelheim, players who played God of War 2018 should be familiar with Gna. That is because her fighting techniques and strategies are almost identical to all the Valkyries that Kratos faced in the said iteration, with the Valkyrie Queen Sigrun almost being her clone.
In the video, Kratos can be seen rushing towards Gna, damaging the latter with the Ghost of Sparta’s frost-imbued uppercut courtesy of the Leviathan Axe. As the player tries to increase the Glacial Permafrost meter, the combo proves to be a crucial element to turn the tide of the battle.
If a fully charged meter is activated, impressive damage output can be seen, melting Gna’s health like butter. This display of blows takes only 26 seconds, let alone the astonishing fact that it is achieved on the highest difficulty, Give Me God of War. Mind you, the player has very little health left and a single hit from Gna would have resulted in death. Still, the player wins the fight – in a really good fashion, that is.
