A GTA 5 update in February made the Banshee 900R a real menace against the likes of the Progen T20. Of course, it's no surprise that the Banshee and Progen are among the quickest cars in the game, given the sleek bodywork and the steep price tag. However, a new glitch is discovered that will yield the latest Vapid Slamvan Custom truck an even higher top speed!
Via Reddit user thimmy3, you will need a stock Slamvan to perform the glitch. Be sure you don't use a lowrider version, as it will prohibit the Slamvan from suspension modifications. You'll want to install the competition suspension before upgrading to lowrider specs. Finally, it's time to hook up this bitchin' truck with every performance mod under the sun.
Now that your Vapid Slamvan Custom is ready to roll, set the hydraulic suspension to its maximum low setting. In its fully lowered mode, thimmy3 learned the Slamvan is capable of reaching 141 mph on a straight-line sprint track approximately 1.88 miles long. That's approximately 10 mph faster than the Banshee's 130.5 mph top speed!
After further trials and experimentation, Reddit user snugglebandit discovered that by slamming the Slamvan even further by shooting at the wheels (obviously, do not purchase bulletproof tires), the wild pickup truck is capable of an even greater top speed of 153 mph.
It's a pretty fun glitch to try and do. Besides, what better way to troll a Progen T20 on the Texas mile than with a ratty old pickup? Check out the video from GTA 5 tipster and YouTuber MrBossFTW below to see a demonstration of the Vapid Slamvan Custom's newfound performance:
