A new playable DLC character has been added to the roster of Guilty Gear -Strive- for Season 2. He arrives in the game as purchasable DLC priced at $6.99. Players who own Season Pass 2 immediately get access to this character.
Asuka R♯ is considered one of the most capable magic wielders. As someone who is a scientist as well as a master of magic, there are those who consider him a genius. While there's no question that his intellect is indeed unparalleled, he lacks stamina to the point that even the slightest of exercise can tire him out. In addition, he continues to transmit "clear numbers" from space and often finds himself involved in discord. Still, many remain to find him polite and humble.
At the peak of his magical capabilities, he is a highly technical character capable of using 26 types of spells having different effects beneficial in battle.
Aside from a new playable character, players can also test out the new battle stage known as Tír na nÓg. This was previously an abandoned space colony which became a unique home allowing humankind to survive in outer space. This stage has various items, which reflect its current residents, like a giant telescope and even a Japanese-style garden.
New Color Packs
Arc System Works announced that in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Guilty Gear, new color packs are now available including the Guilty Gear 25th Anniversary Appreciation Color and the Guilty Gear 25th Anniversary Colors.
The packs are now live on each currently released character, adding new colors. Plus, the Appreciation Color can be downloaded for free.
Guilty Gear -Strive- is available on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. In the game, players can choose from 22 characters which include currently released DLC characters. They can also try these different games modes:
- Tutorial Mode: Learn the basics on how to play.
- Mission Mode: Learn useful techniques for matches in a mission format.
- Survival Mode: Fight consecutive battles against the computer with a limited pool of health.
- Training Mode: Recreate different situations and practice to your heart's content.
- VS COM, VS 2P: Fight against the computer or a friend.
- Online Match (Rank Tower, Open Park, Player Match): Play online against others from around the world.
- Combo Maker: Make original combo or setplay. Search for other players' recipes to try.
- Digital Figure: Set up characters, furniture, effects, and more to create a unique scene.
