A new trailer series has been released for the 2D action roguelike Have a Nice Death. Titled "Life in the Afterlife," this three-part feature trailer lets players learn more about the game before they make the decision to go out and buy it.
The first trailer is "Your First Day as CEO" which shows what you need to do as the boss of the Underworld. That is, to take charge and show everyone why you’re the one on top. You can watch the first trailer below:
The second part of the series is “Tour of Death Inc.,” scheduled for February 15. This time, we'll be taken on a tour around different procedurally-generated departments in Death Inc. headquarters. The final one is "Tools of the Trade" which releases March 1. This one introduces us to deadly weapons, spells, and cloaks in the game.
Early Access
Have a Nice Death is currently on Steam Early Access and has players take on the role of an overworked Death. A vacation is in order but because the employees have been running rampant, everything is thrown off balance. That means, it's time to grab the scythe and show everyone who’s the boss.
Features of the game include:
- Welcome to Death Incorporated
- Discover and explore the darkly charming and procedurally-generated departments of Death Inc.
- Players get to meet a diverse cast of memorable characters always willing to share the latest office gossip.
- This includes the pumpkin-headed assistant Pump Quinn.
- Reap What You Sow
- Sharpen those skills through a fast-paced hack and slash combat.
- Players can use more than 30 unique weapons and spells that they can find and upgrade to create devastating combinations.
- Death Never Sleeps
- Since Death can’t die, players can use whatever they’ve learned and earned to overcome numerous minions and bosses in each department of Death Inc.
- A performance review after every run guarantees that players can unlock interesting items and upgrades that will help in the progress of the journey.
- When Life Gives You Curses
- In Death Inc., taking more power is a controversial move as it goes against company culture.
- An example is that players adopting a Curse upgrade for themselves might result in the Labor Inspector granting their subordinates enhanced powers.
- Worse it could raise the cost of koffee and other items that are vital to the work output.
Have a Nice Death leaves early access on March 22, officially launching on PC and Nintendo Switch.
