The Lunar New Year is happening next week. Hearthstone won’t be waiting that long, however, as it’s kicking off its celebration on February 9. There’s going to be new Legendary quests and a Tavern Brawl that fans love. Players can also go to the shop and get the special Three Kingdoms Hero skins.
Legendary Quest
Let’s jump right into what the new Legendary quests have to offer. They are available from February 9 to February 23 and each rewards two Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card packs as well as one Scholomance Academy card pack. The different objectives are:
- Play 1 game of Battlegrounds
- Play 5 games of Duels
- Play 5 Ranked Standard Games

Tavern Brawl
For Tavern Brawl, Lunar Blessing is back. This was actually introduced back in January 2020. In this brawl, players get randomized decks and then at the start of the game, they get to choose one Blessing, which can have an impact on the game. The blessings are based on the animals of the Chinese zodiac and these are:
- Blessing of the Rat
- Whenever you summon a minion that costs (3) or less, give it Reborn.
- Blessing of the Ox
- Whenever you summon a minion give it +3 Health.
- Blessing of the Tiger
- Whenever you summon a minion give it +1 Attack.
- Blessing of the Rabbit
- Whenever you summon a minion that costs (3) or less, give it Rush.
- Blessing of the Dragon
- Whenever you cast a spell, add a random Dragon to your hand.
- Blessing of the Snake
- Whenever you summon a minion that costs (3) or less, give it Stealth.
- Blessing of the Horse
- Your spells cost (1) less.
- Blessing of the Sheep
- At the start of your turn, restore 3 health to a damaged friendly character.
- Blessing of the Monkey
- At the end of your turn transform a random friendly minion into one that costs (1) more.
- Blessing of the Rooster
- Whenever you use your Hero Power, deal 2 damage to a random enemy.
- Blessing of the Dog
- Whenever you summon a minion, give it Deathrattle: Summon a 1/1 Mastiff.
- Blessing of the Pig
- Whenever you summon a minion, add a Coin to your hand.
Three Kingdom Heroes
There are new skins inspired by Romance of Three Kingdoms. They are offered within the game, as well as in the Blizzard web shop, from February 9 to February 19.
