The HTC 10 smartphone was announced Tuesday as the latest flagship by the Taiwanese manufacturer. The device will begin official availability and shipping in May, but customers can preorder the smartphone starting Tuesday.
The unlocked HTC 10 is available at HTC.com for $699. This model will be compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T networks.
HTC will offer the 10 with it’s UH OH Protection for online preorders. This covers one device replacement within the first year after purchase due to a cracked screen or water damage.
T-Mobile has already announced its intent to offer the HTC 10 in May, with pricing and availability details coming soon. Sprint and Verizon Wireless are also expected to carry the HTC 10.
The HTC 10 features the industry standard Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip and a 5.2-inch Quad HD display. Hardware includes 4GB of RAM of RAM with microSD expansion and 32GB and 64GB internal storage options, a 3,000mah battery with Quick Charge 3.0, and a USB Type-C port.
The HTC 10 main camera is 12-megapixels with optical image stabilization and a f/1.8 aperture; it’s 5-megapixel front camera introduces OIS to selfie imaging.
Other features include a fingerprint sensor, HTC’s BoomSound speakers speakers and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the HTC Sense overlay.
The HTC 10 will be available in two color options, Glacier silver and Carbon Gray.
