HTC’s upcoming flagship, the HTC 10 , is shaping up to be a premium device indeed. The latest spec rumors for the smartphone suggest it will have a 3,00mAh battery, which would put it on par with the recently released Samsung Galaxy S7.
Tech informant Evan Blass shared details about the HTC 10 on twitter Monday, indicating the device would have a massive battery and an LCD display instead of AMOLED. If true, the HTC 10 would see a slight jump from the 2,840mAh battery featured in the HTC One M9, but it would follow the trend of several manufacturers beefing up their 2016 flagships with higher battery capacities.
The HTC 10 was originally expected to have an AMOLED display after the HTC One A9 released last August featuredthat type of display; however, Blass says the smartphone will have a Super LCD 5 screen instead. The leak did not include details about display size; however, rumors suggest the smartphone may have a 5.15-inch Quad HD display.
HTC 10 renders have also been circulating lately, giving a more in-depth look at the device. XDA member HamdiR recently shared renders of the HTC 10, which depict what the handset may look like in real life. So far, several other renders have leaked and look more like marketing material.
In addition to a 3,000mah battery and a 5.15-inch display, the HTC 10 is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and USB Type C. HTC has recent teased that the HTC 10 camera will be “world class,” but has not delved into what that means.
