The alpha test for HypeSquad is now live and available on Steam. This upcoming battle royale TPS is from Netmarble and offers fast-paced, close-quarter combat action. The alpha test ends June 20.
To be part of the alpha test, players need to download the Demo App from the Steam Store or get a Steam code from the official website. On joining the alpha test, players get the Ride Skin reward, which they can use during the test and when the game is officially launched.
Players can try these two game modes during the test:
- Survival Mode
- Up to 60 players can join squads.
- A force field starts to shrink over time from outside the map, closing in on the safe zone.
- Conquest Mode
- Up to 60 players can join squads.
- Teams that do not hold a base by the end of the round are eliminated.
The alpha test supports nine languages and has five servers in North America, Asia, South America and Europe.

- Select from a distinct group of heroes with different backgrounds and motivations.
- A Full Arsenal
- Find unique melee and ranged weapons, then equip two for battle.
- Freely switch between two weapons in combat and lead the squad to victory.

- 60-player Matchmaking
- Join a 3-player squad in a 20-squad battle.
- Strategize with the squad, revive fallen squadmates, and be the last squad standing.
- Numerous Items and Upgrades
- Features various items and upgrades.
- Use the perfect battle support item at the right time.
- Strategic Gameplay Using In-game Objects
- Features many objects to interact with.
- Go fast using a zipline to take a strategic position or use jump pads to shake off an enemy during a risky fight.
