The upcoming battle royale third-person shooter HypeSquad is set to have its alpha test beginning June 13. This test is expected to run until June 20. The game is being developed by Netmarble for PC through Steam.
New Map and Modes
For the duration of the alpha test, players fight it out on the new Cagliostro map which features two game modes:
- Survival Mode
- Up to 60 players can join squads.
- A force field starts to shrink over time from outside the map, closing in on the safe zone.
- Conquest Mode
- Up to 60 players can join squads.
- Teams that do not hold a base by the end of the round are eliminated.
How to Join
Registration for the alpha test started last May 14 and is available to all players worldwide. To join the alpha test, follow these instructions:
- Go to the HypeSquad Alpha Test Pre-Registration website.
- Follow the instructions on the registration page and receive the participation code (Steam Product Code).
- Register the "HypeSquad Demo" app by following the Steam product activation guide.
- Download and install the "HypeSquad Demo" app in advance.
- The game can be accessed during the Alpha Test period.

Those able to join the test receive a Ride Skin reward. This special item can be used when the game is officially launched. For those interested in joining the closed alpha, here are the system requirements for PC:

HypeSquad is a game where players team up and try to survive intense and creative close-quarters combat.
