NetherRealm Studios released a brand-new trailer for Injustice 2, showcasing its second DLC character, Sub-Zero, along with the date fans should expect the Mortal Kombat fighter to crossover. The new trailer was released during E3 2017 and showcases Sub-Zero’s moves and how they have changed since Mortal Kombat X.

Check out Sub-Zero’s reveal trailer for Injustice 2 below.

Sub-Zero has a lot of what makes him great in Mortal Kombat carry over to Injustice 2 including his slides, ice shots and ice clones. However, in Injustice 2 Sub-Zero can create two ice clones at once to give himself even more distance from his enemies.

The Lin Kuei master can also send out an ice clone while he slides and while he does a diving kick.

The Mortal Kombat character can even freeze a person’s feet in place by using his ice powers on the floor around him. Perhaps this is a meter burn as the normal version may just make them disoriented like in past Mortal Kombat games.

The first Injustice 2 DLC fighter, Red Hood, is available now. As the former Robin is the first of three known fighters to join the popular DC Comics fighting game in the title’s first DLC pack. Sub-Zero will be followed by Starfire of the Teen Titans in a third DLC.

NetherRealm revealed that Sub-Zero will be released sometime in July, but an actual hard release date was not given. That seems to mean that Starfire will be joining the roster sometime in August, but fans will have to wait until a reveal trailer for that information.

There are nine total DLC characters coming to Injustice 2, so far. The first three were the aforementioned Red Hood, Starfire and Sub-Zero while the other six were shown only as silhouettes.

In the first Injustice game, Scorpion was added to the roster as DLC so it seems the crossing over between the DC and Mortal Kombat universes will continues, especially if one of the six silhouettes is Raiden like many predict.

Injustice 2 is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
