The latest episode of DC All Access previewed more footage from the upcoming animated film, Justice League Dark. In the clip, John Constantine plays poker with demons and bets the House of Mystery. Take a look at the 2:30 mark below:
DC All Access also speaks with Matt Ryan and Jason O’Mara, who voice John Constantine and Batman.
“He’s reluctant to do it, but ultimately he obliges,” Matt Ryan says of working with The League.
Ryan also says of a soft moment with Constantine and Zatana, “You start to feel a little bit of John’s heart, which kind of rare, you know.”
As for Batman, Jason O’Mara teases to expect a bit of humor from Bruce in the movie. He also revealed his favorite scene is Deadman possessing Batman. In the clip, O’Mara previews his version of Deadman’s Batman voice.
“Usually he’s like the straight man in the movie, but here he’s got a chance to be funny because he thinks it’s all just nonsense -- supernatural, magic -- but he’s smart enough to know that he’s gonna need help with this unsolvable mystery.”
The Justice League Dark trailer released last month revealed everyday citizens are experiencing nightmare visions and turning into demons. The world’s greatest con man, Constantine, also a sorcerer with extensive knowledge of the occult, welcomes the Justice League into his House of Mystery and Batman recruits a team of heroes to help. Swamp Thing, Zatanna, Deadman and Etrigan the Demon join forces with the League to take down the supernatural enemy.
Justice League Dark follows in the footsteps of Batman: The Killing Joke with an R rating. Zatanna will be voiced by Camilla Luddington, Deadman by Nicholas Turturro, and Etrigan by Ray Chase. Rosario Dawson is Wonder Woman and Superman is voiced by Jerry O’Connell.
Justice League Dark releases on Digital HD Jan. 24, 2017 and DVD Feb. 7.
