The RPG dungeon-crawler Kowloon Highschool Chronicle is finally coming to PC via Steam on November 10. This version is being published by Arc System Works.
A remastered version was released worldwide on Nintendo Switch in February 2021, later ported to PlayStation 4 in March 2022. The upcoming PC version continues to have the classic first-person dungeon exploration but with the graphics revamped. In addition, players can look forward to the unique interactive gameplay and conversation system.
Kowloon Highschool Chronicle is set in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and focuses on a transfer student at Kamiyoshi Academy. Though he appears as a normal student, he’s actually a treasure hunter. He’s been sent to learn more about the mysterious ruin hidden deep beneath the school.
Joining him are new friends from school and together they discover the mysteries of a super ancient civilization. It’s not going to be easy with the traps and monsters known as “Kehito.” They also need to deal with the “student council” that seems to be standing in their way.
The story is told much like an anime and divided up into “episodes.” Each episode starts and ends with the same opening and ending sequences. There are also separate sub-stories contained in each episode.

- Players can express themselves throughout the game story through feelings and actions like an angry glare, loving touch, or even a bizarre lick.
- How characters in the world view the players depends on how straight (or insane) they present themselves.
- Deep, Challenging Gameplay
- Players can choose from different friends, allies, and classmates as they adventure the darkest of dungeons in search of untold wealth and more.
- Players are challenged to build their team with care as they take on enemies and venture dungeons to avoid certain doom.
