Learn More About Pokémon Go Ultra Unlock Events

Every year, the Pokémon Go Fest has what is known as an Ultra Unlock bonus. This year is no different, even if the festival is going to be held purely online. All throughout day one of Go Fest 2020, there’s going to be a total of 32 challenges that Trainers around the world can work together to complete in the Global Challenge Arena. For every eight challenges completed, an additional Ultra Unlock event week is unlocked. This means a total of three events if all challenges are completed.

Dragon Week

When eight global challenges are completed, Dragon Week is unlocked. During this week, everyone gets to encounter Dragon-type Pokémon in all shapes and sizes. This can be anywhere from the tiny Gible all the way to the Alolan Exeguttor. Dragon Week is going to start on July 31 at 4:00 PM until August 7 at 4:00 PM EDT. Features include:

• These Pokémon are going to appear more frequently in the wild:
  • Alolan Exeggutor
  • Horsea
  • Dratini
  • Trapinch
  • Swablu
  • Bagon
  • Those lucky enough may encounter a Gible.
• These Pokémon are going to hatch from 7 km Eggs:
  • Horsea
  • Dratini
  • Trapinch
  • Swablu
  • Bagon
  • Those lucky enough may get to hatch:
    • Gible
    • Deino
• Rayquaza is going to be in five-star raids.
• Complete the Timed Research this week for a chance to encounter two Deino
• A chance to find a Shiny Deino

Enigma Week

When Trainers manage to complete 16 challenges, then it unlocks Enigma Week. This is going to run from August 7 at 4:00 PM through August 14 at 4:00 PM. Features include:

• These Pokémon are going to appear more frequently in the wild:
  • Staryu
  • Jigglypuff
  • Clefairy
  • Lunatone
  • Solrock
  • Baltoy
  • Bronzor
  • Elgyem
• These Pokémon are going to hatch from 7 km Eggs:
  • Cleffa
  • Igglybuff
  • Lunatone
  • Solrock
  • Elgyem
• These Pokémon are going to be available in raids:
  • Bronzong
  • Claydol
  • Bronzong
  • Elgyem
  • Unown U, L, T, R, and A.
• Normal Forme Deoxys is going to be in five-star raids.
• Those lucky enough can encounter a Shiny Normal Forme Deoxys.
• There’s a chance to find a Shiny Staryu.

Unova Week

Should Trainers manage to complete 24 challenges, Unova Week is going to be unlocked. Some Pokémon initially discovered in the Unova region are going to be making their debut in the game. It’s going to start on August 14 at 4:00 PM until August 21 at 4:00 PM EDT. Features include:

• Sewaddle, Cottonee, and other Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region, are going to appear more frequently in the wild and hatching from 7 km Eggs.
  • Those lucky may find an Emolga.
• Bouffalant is going to appear in the wild and hatching from 5 km Eggs in New York City and the surrounding areas.
• Roggenrola and other Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region are going to be available in raids.
• Genesect is going to be in five-star raids and those lucky enough may encounter a Shiny Genesect.
• There’s a chance to encounter Shiny Roggenrola.
