A new update is now live in LEGO Brawls and it introduces not only the new Base Race game mode but also a Castle-themed level. This update is now available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players. Those on Nintendo Switch need to wait until April 1 to receive the update.
In Base Race mode, players need to work as a team and collect as many bricks as possible. They then use these bricks to build a giant tower before their opponent builds their own. There is a catch, of course, and that is the opposing team can raid the base of the other team and steal their bricks.
To win, players must have a good mix of strategy and skill where they have to balance between collecting the bricks and attacking the enemy.
In addition to a new mode, this update also introduces different in-game collectibles like 12 castle-themed LEGO Minifigures, along with melee weapons, power-ups, and emotes.
LEGO Brawls is a family-friendly brawling video game available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The game was originally developed as a fighting game for mobile. It was first released in September 2019 on iOS and made exclusive for Apple Arcade. In October 2019, it became available on macOS.
The game is like Super Smash Bros. but with LEGOs. As a LEGO game, there’s a wide range of customization options letting players mix and match to come up with truly unique minifigure brawlers. There are even custom loadouts and power-ups tailored to the preference and playstyle of each player.
In every match, players fight with everything from baguettes and pie cannons to rocket fists and boomboxes. There are also various multiplayer modes, unique challenges, and win conditions that everyone can enjoy. The goal is to control the center of the map until the team's color is full.
LEGO Brawls for casual players is more fun with friends and family until someone wins and gets those bragging rights. But those looking for a bigger challenge can go global and try to reach to the top of the online leaderboards.
