The Mafia trilogy was rumored and teased a couple of weeks ago, and now it’s already here. Hanger 13 just released Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 Definitive Edition on Steam. The Definitive Edition is supposed to be the best version of the game. A few major graphical improvements can be seen in Mafia 2, however, Mafia 3 Definitive Edition is just a re-release of the game.
You can see from the trailer that the first Mafia game is a complete remake and not a remaster. It is built from the ground up and will feature much better graphics. That said, Mafia Definitive Edition is not yet available. It will launch on Steam on August 28. You can pre-order the game now for only $30. The complete trilogy is also available and is priced at $60. This is the one we recommend if you haven’t played any of the previous Mafia games. People who owned Mafia 2 and 3 will get the Definitive Edition upgrade for free.
