NBA 2K17 looks to continue the successful MyCareer Mode from 2K16 with a brand new story featuring your character and actor Michael B. Jordan as you navigate both players through the draft and becoming the most dynamic duo in the NBA.
2K Games has released the trailer for NBA 2K17’s MyCareer Mode to give players a peek into what they can expect in this year’s installment. Check it out below.
Information regarding this year’s MyCareer Mode was also released and detailed how Michael B. Jordan’s Justice Young was created and the overarching theme of the story mode.
According to the NBA 2K17 blog, the story of this year’s MyCareer Mode is about the “Dynamic Duo,” and that’s when Justice Young was born. Trying to encapsulate the relationship between some of the NBA’s greatest dynamic duos like Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook (before Durant jumped to the Warriors).
From the looks of the new trailer, there will be plenty of ups and downs between your character and Justice Young. Will you stay and become a force in the NBA or are you destined for greater things?
The MyCareer Mode in NBA 2K17 also features a revamped creation system with positions no longer dictating how your character plays. Players will now be able to choose their own style of play outside of the position.
2K Games also promises more dynamic interactivity, a new authentic endorsement system and a new off-court AI system.
NBA 2K17 will release Sept. 20 with an Early Tip-Off Weekend beginning Sept. 16.
