EA is bringing FIFA 18 to the Nintendo Switch -- albeit with a missing feature or two -- but it seems another title, Need for Speed: Payback, won’t be making the jump to Nintendo’s latest console.
In an interview with Gamespot , Need for Speed: Payback executive producer Marcus Nilsson was asked about bringing the racing game to the Switch, he didn’t want to say one way or the other but didn’t see it in the game’s future.
"Would that be a platform that Need for Speed: Payback could run on? I don't see why [not], but it's not something we're looking to at this very moment," he explained.
Nilsson spoke highly of the Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , specifically. However, it seems that EA is testing the waters with FIFA 18 and seeing how it performs on the new console before moving forward.
It was confirmed that Need for Speed: Payback developer Ghost Games would support Xbox Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Pro.
EA revealed its lineup of games coming in 2017 and beyond including its sports titles like the aforementioned FIFA 18, Madden 18 and NBA Live 18 . They also revealed two new IPS in A Way Out and Anthem (the latter having more information coming during the Microsoft press conference on Sunday).
The latest DLC for Battlefield 1 was also shown off as well as Star Wars Battlefront 2. You can check out all the trailers revealed during EA Play 2017, here.
