A new trailer for Life is Strange: Double Exposure shows players a glimpse of Max's new powers in the upcoming game and reveals that the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix's upcoming game focuses on an older Max Caulfield who is from the original Life is Strange game. The latest trailer also showcased her new powers while also giving players a general overview of what to expect from Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

For now, the game has a scheduled release window of October 2024 and the Nintendo Switch version will come at a later date. On top of exploring Max's new powers that let her shift between two parallel timelines, the deep dive also showcased her new Pulse ability.

This allows Max to take a glimpse of the opposite timeline before jumping through since danger is not limited to only one timeline. Using her Pulse ability, Max can overhear conversations that are happening on the other side, according to MyNintendoNews.

In Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Max will have to use both aspects of her new power in order to solve her friend Safi's impossible murder.

As the protagonist shifts back and forth between the two timelines, her power allows you to complete unique puzzles, navigate complex campus social dynamics, and explore various mysteries.

Prior to the upcoming game, Max appeared in Life is Strange in 2015 where her powers were limited to rewinding time for only one timeline. But her new powers now also let her reveal points where the veil between timelines is weakest.

This allows the protagonist to physically shift into the other reality if she is inclined to do so. The latest trailer showed off Max's new power by having her retrieve an Allen wrench for Moses, said ComingSoon.

With how Life is Strange: Double Exposure tasks players with keeping track of each timeline, the game promises to be quite tough.

It also looks like players can affect the story in some way if they misremember certain aspects, which is something that was shown in the trailer when speaking to a character named Loretta.

The upcoming game will be available in three different editions at launch and the standard edition contains the base game and has both physical and digital versions.

The next two editions are digital only and the Deluxe Edition also includes the Spooky Outfit Pack and the Decades Outfit Pack.

On the other hand, the Ultimate Edition then adds two weeks of early access to the first two chapters of the game, the Final Fantasy VII Outfit Pack, the Fan Favorite Outfit Pack, the Paw Prints Outfit Pack, and "exclusive cat content," according to DigitallyDownloaded.
