We’re less than 24 hours away from the PS4 debut of NieR: Automata , the new action-RPG from Square Enix and Platinum Games, and (at long last) Square Enix has finally come clean on its plans for the PC version of the game. The good news is NieR: Automata is still heading to PC before the end of March. The bad news is it won’t be ready when NieR debuts on Tuesday.
According to Square Enix, NieR: Automata will make the jump to Steam on March 17, a full 10 days after the game dashes onto PS4. There’s no word on why the PC version is being withheld for an extra week and a half. But the publisher is including a handful of NieR: Automata add-ons for anyone who decides to wait for the PC version of the game. An update on the game’s Steam page confirms those who pre-order NieR will also receive a handful of cosmetics for 2B and her pod, including Valve’s iconic red logo and a cardboard skin for the pod. You can even rock one of the lifeless, spherical robot heads seen throughout NieR: Automata if you so desire.

Then head down to the comments section and let us know which version of NieR: Automata you plan to check out when the game hits PC and PS4 later this month.
NieR: Automata is in development for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game hits PS4 on March 7 and makes the jump to Steam on March 17.
