There’s still two months left in the year, but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo from releasing some major games for the Switch. This was all revealed during the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. This being the last Partner Showcase for the year, today we take a look into some games that are arriving to the Switch from third-party studios.
Games Releasing This Year
The first of these is Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia. Launching exclusively for the Switch on November 3, the game has players build the best team and fight it out in high-energy battles to become the ultimate champion. On the same week, Tropico 6 – Nintendo Switch Edition arrives to the Switch. While the game itself is launching November 6, pre-orders are already being accepted.
In the same month, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is going to be released. The game is going to be a treat for Zelda fans as the story is set a century before the events of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. During the Partner Showcase, it was revealed that the Divine Beasts are going to be playable in Age of Calamity. With their over-the-top powers, the Divine Beasts are sure to help players get the victory. The game is set to be released on November 20, but a free demo is available in the Nintendo eShop.
Finally, there is Immortals Fenyx Rising, where players take on the role of Fenyx and help save the Greek Gods from a dark curse. Prepare to enter into some epic fights as the game arrives December 3.
Games Releasing Next Year
The Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase revealed five interesting games coming to the Switch next year. The first is Bravely Default II, which tells the story of four heroes who embark on a journey and along the way meet new characters while fighting villains. A demo was released back in March and, because of player feedback, changes were made to improve the overall game experience. Bravely Default II is arriving to the Switch on February 26, 2021.
Next is Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which is launching on March 23, 2021. This farm simulation has players decide whether to grow a field of crops, construct a ranch with animal pens, or even both.
By Spring 2021, players are going to have the chance to see if they have what it takes to survive in a post-apocalyptic future. The end of the world is simply the beginning, but with Surviving the Aftermath: Survive, it’s up to you to make the most out of what’s left. By Summer 2021, prepare to try out a deck-building roguelite game in Griftlands: Nintendo Switch Edition. Set in the sci-fi world of Griftlands, players need to be careful as each decision matters.
Finally, sometime in 2021 players get to experience the latest exploits of legendary assassin Travis Touchdown with No More Heroes III. Know what it means to be in a fight between assassins that has reached a galactic scale. This is the third entry in the series and for those who haven’t had a chance to play the first two, No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle are now available on the Nintendo Switch.
