The latest Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase gave a sneak peek into some of the new games arriving for the Nintendo Switch. The biggest news, of course, is the upcoming release of Monster Hunter Rise for the Switch. This latest addition to the Monster Hunter series is launching on March 26, 2021. That’s not all as there’s also another Monster Hunter game coming, which is Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. In this one, players take on the role of a Monster Rider and go on an RPG adventure that’s filled with many of the series’ popular monsters.
Steven Singer of Nintendo of America shared in a statement that the company’s creative development and publishing partners are sure to give Switch owners the games that they are looking for. He went on to say that they “appreciate the innovative experiences our partners continue delivering for Nintendo Switch, and are happy to share their latest games in these Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase videos.”
Here are the other games that were revealed in today’s Partner Showcase:
- Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny
- The game marks the first time that the series makes use of 3D models. It’s going to see vibrant characters full of personality and the return of the series' over-the-top battle system.
- This game is arriving exclusively to the Switch in Summer 2021.
- Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise
- This sequel to Fitness Boxing allows players to choose any one of nine instructors, each with their own distinctive personality.
- As players continue exercising, their bond with the instructors will grow.
- Some features in this installment include a two-player mode, an alarm function, and the ability to remove certain boxing actions.
- The game launches for the Switch on December 4.
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps
- The game offers a new adventure in a vast and vibrant world that’s filled with new friends and foes which come to life in stunning and hand-painted artwork.
- There’s no need to wait as the game launches for the Switch today!
The Partner Showcase also announced two other games launching today. The first is Hades where players need to hack and slash their way out of the Underworld while wielding mythical weapons and powers of Olympus. The second is The Long Dark, an exploration-survival game.
Launching later this month as well is physical copies of PGA Tour 2K21 on September 25. The digital version is already available on the Nintendo eShop. By December 1, Empire of Sin is going to launch for the Switch. Set in 1920s prohibition-era Chicago, players need to hustle, charm, and intimidate their way to the top. The holidays are also going to see the release of Sniper Elite 4, which offers the largest and most diverse world ever seen in a Sniper Elite game.
Two other games are slated to be released next year. Balan Wonderworld is going to be released on March 26, 2021, with Rune Factory 5 expected sometime in 2021.
