Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle offers a unique take on the battle royale genre and can be played on PCs, tablets, laptops, phones, and even TVs, through Stadia. Making the game even more exciting are the power-ups that are sure to turn the tide of battle. There are also some fun cosmetics that players can unlock and use to customize their Pac-Man. Meanwhile, a Spectator Mode lets viewers become an influential part of the game.
In a statement to the press, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. Brand Manager Pearl Lai said that ever since Pac-Man was first released in 1980 it has become a pop-culture icon. Lai added that the game has always been reinventing itself to make sure that it stays “on top of current technology and trends within the gaming industry without losing focus of his retro arcade roots.” She went on to say that this new and upcoming game takes the classic gameplay that everyone is familiar with and turns it “into a fight for survival in a fun retro take on the current battle-royale craze using Google’s cutting-edge cloud gaming infrastructure.”
