There’s less than a month to go until Persona 5 hits PlayStation consoles in North America and Europe, and Atlus is bringing the hype to get fans excited for release day. On Tuesday, the developer dropped a new trailer featuring the twin wardens of Persona 5’s Velvet Room: Caroline and Justine.
If you’ve played previous Persona games, trust us, you’ll find it hard not to get excited when you hear those familiar piano notes of the Velvet Room theme in the first few moments. Who’s ready to fuse some personas and get all “thou art I and I am thou” for several dozen hours? We are, dammit!
It’s a brief video, but it does offer a fun glimpse of the relationship our protagonist will have with the guardians of the Velvet Room in P5. Judging from a couple of the dialogue choices, it seems there’ll be a flirty playboy version of the main character, similar to the Persona 4 anime’s imagining of Yu Narukami. Check out the new Persona 5 trailer below:
The new trailer comes just a day after Atlus dropped a new sizzle trailer to tease fans of the series, providing a reintroduction to all the playable characters and some broad outlines of the gameplay.
