EA is taking the Plants vs Zombies property and bringing fans a brand-new mobile game in 2016. Plants vs Zombies: Heroes will allow players to collect characters from both factions to create their own teams to face other heroes.
Senior Producer Brian Lindley, the madman behind the Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare franchise wrote in a letter about how PvZ: Heroes came to be, and described the development team’s goal of keeping the franchise growing and evolving.
“The journey of PvZ Heroes began over two years ago as a paper card game prototype built in the spare time of our Creative Director, Devin Low,” Lindley said. “From those simple beginnings, Devin continued to experiment, and after several months of playtesting and development, the end result is Plants vs. Zombies Heroes ; charming and approachable, but rich with depth, secrets and strategy.”
Plants vs Zombies: Heroes , like Garden Warfare , will allow players to pick either the plants or zombies (a first for mobile devices) and will even support real-time multiplayer. You can battle other players, face off against your friends and even test out combinations and strategies in single-player missions.
The latest Plants vs Zombies mobile game is available now in some territories, but not currently in North America. It will be available for both iOS and Android and if the past mobile Plants vs Zombies games are any indication, iOS should be receiving Plants vs Zombies: Heroes first.
We will update as soon as the game drops in both the App and Google Play Stores.
