PlayStation is celebrating 2021 with a bang. PlayStation Plus members get to receive two excellent PS4 titles. These will arrive on January 5. As if that’s not enough, members who also own a PlayStation 5 get an extra game on the same day. These games are only available until February 1.
PlayStation Plus is a subscription service that improves existing features in the free account of the PlayStation Network. Features include monthly free access to games, online multiplayer with friends, and the ability to join online tournaments. Not to mention, exclusive discounts for members.
Two Games for the Month
The first is Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In this game, Lara Croft takes on what could be her biggest adventure to date. Help her survive the jungles of South America as she races in time to save the world from a Mayan apocalypse. Despite having the skills, she’s outgunned and outnumbered. Thus, she needs to use the environment to her advantage. Released in September 2018, the game has received generally positive reviews with many citing the focus on challenge tombs and puzzles.
The second is Greedfall , which is a stunning action RPG. Players get the chance to explore uncharted new lands seeped with magic and filled with fantastic creatures, lost secrets, and of course, riches. Players also have complete objectives through different methods like diplomacy, combat, or stealth. The game was launched in September 2019 and received mixed reviews.
PS5 Offering
Ever want to experience what it means to be an apex predator? You’ll probably get that chance with Maneater. In this open-world action RPG, players take on the role of a shark. They start their journey as a shark pup and must survive the world by eating their way up the food web. The challenge is finding the right resources to grow and evolve, as intended by nature.
PS Plus
The subscription is offered in three payment schemes. The first is a payment of $9.99 per month. The second is $24.99 every three months, equivalent to $8.33 a month. The third is $59.99 for 12 months or around $5 per month.
