The August Community Day for Pokémon GO is this Saturday, August 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., local time. It's going to feature none other than the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon known as Galarian Zigzagoon. Those lucky enough may get the chance to encounter a Shiny version.
Community Day Bonuses
Here are the bonuses for this month's Community Day:
- 3× Catch Stardust.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
- Trades made during the event and up to five hours afterward will require 50% less Stardust.
Bonuses for Groups
Those are not the only bonuses available during the Community Day. Trainers who work together with others can unlock more. For example, if enough Pokémon are caught by Trainers with a single Lure Module, the 3× Stardust bonus for catching Pokémon near the Lured PokéStop is increased to a 4× bonus Stardust for 30 minutes. By the way, this bonus doesn't stack with the base 3× Catch Stardust bonus and instead replaces it for the duration.
Ultra Unlock Event Bonuses
There are more bonuses coming the way of trainers, and that's because of the hard work done during the Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo. Everyone earns Ultra Unlock bonuses for August Community Day. These bonuses are going to be active on August 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., local time:
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for transferring Pokémon.
- Two additional Special Trades can be made during the event.
- This bonus stacks with the additional Special Trade bonus for the Season of GO, for a maximum of four Special Trades for the day.
- Trades made during the event require 75% less Stardust.
- This bonus replaces the previous bonus that halves Stardust for trades.
- The bonuses won't stack.
