We're still in the middle of January but this early, we already know what's going to happen in Pokémon GO's Community Day for February. It's going to feature none other than the Sound Wave Pokémon Noibat, which is appearing more frequently in the wild. This event is on February 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time.
Trainers can evolve Noibat during the event, or even up to five hours after the event ends, to get a Noivern that knows the Charged Attack Boomburst. Details of Boomburst include:
- Trainer Battles: 150 power
- Gyms and raids: 140 power
Event Bonuses
While meeting Noibat is exciting, trainers should also look forward to these bonuses during the event:
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Does not include Daily Adventure Incense.
Like most Community Days, the bonuses mentioned last only during the event. However, there are two bonuses that will be active even after the event until 10:00 p.m., local time. These are:
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
- Trades made during the event, and up to five hours after the event, need 50% less Stardust.
By the way, don't forget to take some snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
Bonus Raid Battles
Even when the Community Day event is done, there's still some things left for trainers to do. These are the special four-star Raid Battles from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., local time. Those who can get a victory in one of these raids can cause more Noibat to appear on the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes.
Remember that Raid Battles can only be joined using either Raid Pass or Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes can't be used for these Raid Battles.
Special Research Story
Trainers can also take on the Noibat Community Day–exclusive Special Research story titled "Abundant Noise." Tickets are priced at $1, and sale is expected to go live soon,
