The old year is about to end, so it's time to welcome the new. Pokémon GO is inviting all trainers to the New Year's 2023 event, from December 31 to January 4. In this event, everyone can look forward to the debut of Pikachu wearing a party top hat. Those lucky enough may even encounter a Shiny version.
If you think that's exciting, then be prepared for something more. That's because beginning with this event, trainers can evolve the Hoothoot wearing a New Year’s outfit into Noctowl wearing a New Year’s outfit.
Finally, festive fireworks are set to light up the skies during the event.
Event Bonuses
For New Year’s 2023 Event, trainers can look forward to these bonuses:
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
- 1/4 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget.
By the way, it's important to know that these bonuses don't stack.
