One of the largest games coming to the Switch platform has been the subject of rumors over the past months, and the latest has caught the attention of many fans of the "Pokémon" franchise.
The latest reports on "Pokémon Legends: Z-A" have revolved around the Mega Evolutions coming to the game, but new rumors claim that one popular creature is not part of it.
'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' Rumor: One Mega Evolution Is Not Coming
The latest report from Centro Leaks shared a new rumor saying that one expected Mega Evolution for "Pokémon Legends: Z-A" is not coming following the many speculations about which creature will get the special form. This leak focuses on one Pokémon only, and it is a Generation III release from the Hoenn region, the Flygon, the Bug and Dragon type Pokémon.
It has been claimed that "Pokémon Legends: Z-A" is skipping over Flygon despite requests from gamers over the years. Plans for Flygon getting a Mega Evolution stems back to "Pokémon X and Y," but was ultimately canceled when Ken Sugimori, the official artwork illustrator of "Pokémon" games, faced a creative block on its design.
Is There Still Hope For This Mega Evolution?
This means that, for well over a decade, "Pokémon" fans have been expecting a Mega Evolution for Flygon, but the franchise never delivered on the expected version. Players have reacted sadly to the news, and according to reports, fans are still optimistic that the Bug/Dragon-type Pokémon will still get the new form in the future.
It has been speculated that this may come in the form of a future DLC bringing Flygon's Mega Evolution or a surprise drop from the game as only 25 out of the 27 Mega Evolutions have been revealed.
These two mystery ones may include a Ground or Dragon-type Pokémon, and the latter applies to Flygon.
What Are the Mega Evolutions to Expect from 'Legends: Z-A'?
Previous leaks have shared the Mega Evolutions reportedly coming to the game apart from what Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have already shared on their official trailer's release. Leakers revealed that the likes of Chandelure, Dragonite, Excadrill, and Starmie are getting Mega Evolutions in the upcoming game.
Later on, it was revealed by dataminers that Victreebel is also getting a Mega Evolution on "Pokemon Legends: Z-A."
This will be added to the 18 Mega Evolutions that Game Freak already confirmed to be returning on "Pokemon Legends: Z-A," including the ultra-popular ones like Charizard, Gardevoir, Gallade, Lucario, and more.
