The Pokémon Masters League story arc for Pokémon Masters EX is finally coming to an end. That’s because the final chapter has been added to the game’s Main Story mode. Chapter 30, titled “The Road to Victory,” has players take part in the Pokémon Masters League Finals. This one is not going to be easy since they’ll be facing the likes of Red & Charizard, Blue & Blastoise, and Leaf & Venusaur.
For those who have been with the game since Day 1, there were initially 18 chapters launched in the Main Story. New chapters were then added regularly. Generally, the Main Story mode can be played in single-player but there are parts where co-op mode is possible.
Pokémon Masters EX is set on an island known as Pasio. Pokémon battles here are different because they are about the bond between Trainers and Pokémon known as “sync pairs.” Players go through Pasio and meet Trainers from different regions. They battle with other Trainers to get the five Pokémon Masters League badges: Tranquility, Freedom, Patience, Harmony, and Pride. Getting all allows players to take part in the Pokémon Masters League.
New Pairs
In addition to the new chapter, players are also given the chance to try out new sync pairs. The first is Lear, who is responsible for creating the artificial island of Pasio as well as the founder of the Pokémon Masters League. He is paired with Hoopa and the two function as a Psychic-Type sync pair, and their Hyperspace Hole attack does not miss.
Lear is added to the players’ teams with his associates Rachel & Umbreon and Sawyer & Honchkrow. Rachel & Umbreon are a Normal- and Dark-type sync pair very good at restoring HP. Meanwhile, Sawyer & Honchkrow are a Dark-type sync pair with passive skills that can increase Defense and Sp. Def stat of the entire team.
The three pairs are available until August 12.
Solo Event
Lear & Hoopa isn’t just joining the players’ teams but also bringing a new event, available until August 12. This is available for players who have finished Chapter 1 of the Main Story.
During the event, players get to battle and earn in-game rewards like 5-Star Power-Ups and 5-Star Scout Tickets. Learn more about the event here.
Pokémon Masters EX is available on Android and iOS.
