After months of speculation, the September issue of CoroCoro has leaked and confirms that Rockruff will have more than one evolution in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
In the pages of CoroCoro, Rockruff evolves into Lugarugan but it confirms to evolve depending on the time of day. If Rockruff evolves during the day, it will evolve into its Midday Form. Take a look at the scan of CoroCoro below.
During the night, Rockruff will evolve into its Midnight Form.
Unfortunately, no typings or other details were given but with the next Pokémon Sun and Moon announcement coming on Sept. 14, these details are likely to be announced.
Also, in the pages of CoroCoro, are two new Ultra Beasts. UB-01 was the first Ultra Beast revealed as a giant jellyfish creature that looks a lot like a certain NPC but we now have UB-02 and UB-03.
According to CoroCoro, UB-02 is called Beauty and UB-03 is called Expansion. It also seems that UB-02 will appear in Pokémon Sun as it faces off against Tapu Koko and UB-03 will face off against the guardian in Pokémon Moon.
UB-01 is stated to be a mystery but may have a deep meaning.
CoroCoro teased that in October’s issue the true strength of Type: Null will be revealed.
The Pokémon anime was also confirmed to continue as Ash will be traveling to the Alola Region to go to school? The new series will premiere in November and Ash will actually get a Z-Ring. Ash will also meet Tapu Koko.
