Marshadow is one of the many new mysteries coming out of Pokémon Sun and Moon, but more information on the Mythical Pokémon was finally released regarding some of its moves and its signature Z-Move.
According to the official Pokémon website, the Marshadow page was updated with information on its signature move, called Spectral Thief. Spectral Thief is a new move that only Marshadow can learn that allows Marshadow to steal any stat boosts that the target had, and then deal an attack.
It’s a powerful physical Ghost-type move, having a base power of 90 that gets STAB from Marshadow.
Marshadow actually turns green when unleashing moves thanks to its burning fighting spirit, which is why Marshadow is the first Ghost and Fighting type Pokémon.
Marshadow’s signature Z-Move Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike can only be used if Marshadow knows Spectral Thief and is holding the special Z-Crystal Marshadium Z, which cannot be obtained through regular gameplay.

Like the special Mew Z-Crystal distribution, Marshadow will be distributed in the same manner when the upcoming Pokémon movie, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the franchise, is released in North America later this year.
The Pokémon Company announced an alternate story for Sun and Moon coming later this year called Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The new adventure seems to focus on Necrozma, a third Legendary Pokémon that is obtainable in Sun and Moon’s post-game.
Whether Marshadow will have a part in the Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon story is unknown, but stay with Player. One for more Pokémon news.
