The Pokemon Company has not made any new teasers or announcements about the upcoming "Pokemon Legends" installment, but we might hear a word this month. Fans are quick to speculate that some Pokemon might get mega evolution soon in the brand-new Lumiose City.
Up to this day, however, it has never been confirmed if what we will be getting in "Pokemon Legends: Z-A" is an ancient or a futuristic version of the Paris-inspired Kalos city. For now, these 10 Pokemon might soon mega-evolve, and there are no starters here.
The Underrated Gang: Pokemon We Wish to See Mega-Evolve in 'ZA: Legends'
The Mega Evolution gimmick started in Gen VI where Kalos region enjoyers basked in posing like a "Power Ranger" with their mega bracelet. Later, the Pokemon community fully embraced the newly found mechanic and concluded that it was irreplaceable. Some gamers think it should be carried out to the succeeding Pokemon games, but since this is TPC, that won't be the case.
Fortunately, after "Pokemon X and Y," we saw Mega Evolution again in "Pokemon Omega Ruby" and "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire." In Nintendo Switch, it's accessible in "Pokemon Let's GO: Eevee and Pikachu," but only for a few Kanto mons such as Charizard, Aerodactyl, Gyarados, and more.
For 2025, we have yet to see a new group of Pokemon that will be blessed with mega evolution. Although no announcements have been released about this in "Legends: Z-A," our peeps on Reddit assume that these Pokemon could make the cut.
Vikavolt
Bug type is somewhat an underwhelming type. It has a lot of weaknesses, but if we're talking about Mega Evolution, we have four of them so far, including Pinsir, Scizor, Beedrill, and Heracross. Adding Vikabolt is somehow interesting given that it's very rare to see a bug/electric Pokemon.
Dragapult
Tyrannitar and Garchomp are some of the pseudo-legendary mons that already have mega-evolutions. Giving Dragapult a much-needed boost is reasonable. We might see the speediest dragon-type Pokemon soon if that happens.
Golurk
Golurk is somewhat unheard mon, but its stature makes it a candidate for mega-evolution. Being a Ghost/Ground, the coverage is extremely thin, but mega-evolution could cover for its weaknesses if that's the case.
Gigalith
This slow-moving Pokemon excels in sand teams, but if TPC decides to mega-evolve it, there's a chance we could see it become more viable even in rain or sun teams.
Froslass
Froslass is somewhat underrated in our books since it's seldom used in VGC and other competitions. It works as a utility mon, but its playstyle might change when it mega evolves.
Kleavor
Kleavor is a somewhat new Pokemon since we have just known it in "Legends: Arceus," but its design and stats prove how useful it competes. If TPC plans to give it mega evolution, we could see its axe and horn extending bigger than before.
Zebstrika
This zebra Pokemon has mediocre stats and even proper EV training won't save its sorry arse from becoming viable. The only saving grace we could think of? Giving it a proper mega evolution with a longer mane and a more electrifying tale.
Flygon
Flygon never gets the love it deserves being a Ground/Dragon type. If we acquire its mega evolution, we might finally see a Bug-type Flygon in next-gen Kalos City.
Milotic
The frustration of facing Milotic is beyond unimaginable thanks to its bulk. Mix it up with Marvel Scale and Flame Orb, you're already durable as hell. A normal Milotic gives us a headache already, but a Mega-evolved Milotic will give us a couple of migraines.
Haxorus
Haxorus' stats are decent, but still, it's seldom usable competitively. There are better options than it, but if we see it in Mega Evolution form, expect to see a more badass-looking design in its mouth.
