It’s almost September, which means the free games for PS+ users should be getting announced soon. However, we may have a sneak peek thanks to a promoted Facebook post that was released too early. While the games included are exciting, this isn’t official until Sony announces exactly what’s coming to PS+ for September 2017. But here’s what we know so far.
This information comes from a post on HotUKDeals. While the site may not be the place you think of when it comes to video game news, this does look like a legitimate mobile screenshot.
According to the image above, PS4 gamers will be able to download and play both inFAMOUS Second Son and Child of Light in a few days. Unfortunately, the ad doesn’t reveal the other games that will be coming for PS3 and PS Vita gamers.
This is an exciting line-up of games for those who haven’t had the opportunity to play them yet. inFAMOUS Second Son is a huge open-world brawler where players control an electricity-based superhero (or villain, depending on how you play). Second Son features some great graphics, fun gameplay and strong voice over performances.
Child of Light is a side-scrolling, role-playing platformer set in Austria in 1895. After succumbing to a mysterious illness, protagonist Aurora wakes up in a world called Lemuria. It’s up to Aurora to help take down the Dark Queen Umbra and restore power to the Queen of Light.
Based on previous months, there will likely be four more games included in the free offerings for PS+ subscribers in September. There should be two PS3 games and two PS Vita games that haven’t been announced yet, and it’s likely a PS Vita game or two will also work on PS4 with cross-buy. Sony should be making an official announcement on the PS Blog within the next few days to know if this leak is legit or not.
So what do you think? Are you interested in playing either inFAMOUS Second Son or Child of Light on PS4? What other games do you hope get included for September? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
