Excited for the PUBG Global Invitational.S 2021? We know we are. It looks like PUBG is upping the excitement as everyone can watch all the action with the livestream displays in-game. That’s right, players can now watch the matches while playing.
There are 10 digital screens spread out across Miramar and Erangel where the live esports events are going to be displayed. Everyone gets a chance to watch the livestream of the tournament. However, should the stream be offline, the screens will display PGI.S trailers.
That’s not all as the livestream isn’t only available in-game but also in the lobby. Speaking about the lobby, it’s been updated and now PGI.S-themed for normal matches while also offering some BGMs. For those who may get distracted with the livestream, they can turn it off by going to Settings > Gameplay > Functions.
Even if the livestream is off, everyone can still get the tournament feel. Buildings in Erangel and Miramar have been painted with the PGI.S logo. The starting plane, meanwhile, has the PGI.S promo banners, and these won’t be limited to Erangel and Miramar. Sanhok, Vikendi, and Karakin have them too! Finally, there’s the new PGI.S loading screen splash art.
PGI.S 2021

It’s going to be held in South Korea and while the competition is expected offline, PUBG has allowed some teams to compete online provided they don’t have any latency issues. It will start on February 2 and end on March 28.
The prize pool is $3.5 million and the way the tournament is structured makes it actually interesting. Teams can start earning money even in the early part of the tournament. Though, the Global Champion will have the most amount of prize money at the end of the tournament. You can learn more about the tournament here and the teams attending here.
