Rainbow Six Siege's EU League 2020 stage two concluded its sixth playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The EU League had some really exciting matches to watch this playday, with all the matches played as a best of one format.
The matchup between G2 Esports and Virtus.Pro was the most anticipated match of the sixth playday. The match was played on Villa, which is a pretty utility-heavy map. G2 finally made some role changes on their team, and it made a lot of difference. Jake "Virtue" Grannan was moved into a more aggressive role rather than his support position, and this change actually made G2 even more destructive than before. Virtue carried G2 with 12 kills on Villa. G2 was able to dominate VP with ease and took the match with a 7-2 scoreline.
The best matchup to watch was between Team BDS and Team Secret. The match was played on Oregon, which is a pretty utility-heavy map with the Thatcher ban. The match was super exciting to watch as both these teams have been dominating the EU league with zero losses and now they faced each other to decide who stays on top. Oregon is a map that BDS is super confident to play on. Secret managed to give BDS a really good fight, but BDS came on top having more knowledge on how to manage utility and frag simultaneously. BDS won the match with a 7-5 scoreline.
Another good match to watch was between Team Vitality and Rogue. The match was played on Clubhouse, which is a defender-sided map with the Maverick ban. The match was really fun to watch as we got to see Vitality dominate Rogue using the Maverick ban to their advantage. Vitality brought in operators such as Kaid, Bandit, and Mute to ensure the walls of all sites don’t get opened quite easily. Vitality took the map with a 7-2 scoreline.
