Rainbow Six Siege European League Stage 2 has finished its final playday. Only one team remains to qualify for the Six August 2021 Major, which is held in Mexico.
Team Empire vs. G2 Esports
The match between these teams was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. This match was not important for either team as both of them have already secured a spot in the Six Major. G2 started strong on defense and they took four rounds in the first half. Empire made a ton of mistakes while executing into the site, which allowed G2 to take the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. Empire on the defense was much better, and they were able to take four rounds. But G2 took the game to overtime.
Empire was able to win both rounds in overtime, which got them the victory with an 8-6 scoreline. This victory for Empire puts them in first place with G2 following them in second place.
Natus Vincere vs. BDS Esport
This match is the most important for NaVi, as they need to win to confirm a spot in the Six Major. Both teams decided to play on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is a defender-sided map. NaVi started out on defense and won four rounds by playing a roam-heavy setup. BDS usually plays really well but it seemed like they were hiding strategies for the Major. The first half resulted in a 4-2 scoreline. NaVi kept their momentum and finished the game by winning three rounds on the attack.
The final scoreline was 7-3 in favor of NaVi, the last team to qualify for the Six Major.
Rogue vs. Cowana Gaming
This match was a very important match for Rogue to stay safe from relegation. These two teams played the match on Coastline, which requires aggressive plays. Cowana destroyed Rogue on the defense by winning five rounds and only dropping one. Then they proceeded to finish the game by winning the remaining two rounds. Cowana won the map with a 7-1 scoreline.
This loss for Rogue will hurt them as they must play relegation matches to stay in the next league.
