Rainbow Six Siege’s biggest event for 2021, the Six Invitational held in Paris, concluded its final playday for Group B. Only the top four teams from each group would move ahead to the upper brackets, while the fifth to seventh placers would go to the lower bracket to try and get a spot in the playoffs. The eighth placer would be eliminated.
The unlucky team in Group B was from APAC. Giants Gaming was eliminated from the competition as they were only able to win two games across three playdays. It was pretty unfortunate because SpaceStation Gaming also had the same amount of wins and losses. However, SSG had a massive round advantage over Giants, which allowed them to qualify for playoffs. Group B seemed to be more difficult as every team has at least lost to two other teams in the same bracket.
North America
Team SoloMid topped their group, claiming first place by winning five matches and dominating Ninjas In Pyjamas with a 7-2 scoreline. Oxygen Esports made a massive comeback from the bottom of the leaderboards after being stuck last on day two. But OXG clawed their way through and secured an upper bracket spot by placing fourth.
- First place: Team SoloMid
- Fourth place: Oxygen Esports
- Sixth place: Parabellum Esports
- Seventh place: SpaceStation Gaming
LATAM
LATAM proved to be the most consistent region in group B. Both Made In Brazil and NIP managed to qualify for the upper brackets by placing second and third, respectively.
EU
The only European team, Mkers, ended at fifth place and qualified for the playoffs. Though they will have to go through the lower brackets to have a shot at reaching the top.
APAC
Group A and Group B had lost APAC teams, leaving only one team to represent this region. Giants got knocked out and Cloud9 from Group A must carry the hopes of APAC in the tourney
