Rainbow Six Siege North American League Stage 2 has finished its seventh playday. The top four teams from this region will qualify for the Six August 2021 Major, which is held in Mexico. The North American League is currently being played on LAN following COVID-19 preventive measures.
Oxygen Esports vs. Disrupt Gaming
The matchup between these two teams was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky. The Thatcher and Valkyrie ban by Oxygen was to prevent the opponents from playing aggressively. Oxygen was able to get three rounds on the attack, which is pretty good considering the map is quite a defender favored. Then, Disrupt followed it by winning three rounds, which got the first half to a 3-3 scoreline. Since the map favored defenders, everyone expected Disrupt to take the game. But Oxygen played pretty well on attack and got the game to overtime. The overtime match was very close but Disrupt was able to close the game by winning the final round on attack.
Disrupt won the game with an 8-7 scoreline and this match puts them in fifth place. On the other hand, Oxygen sits in seventh place with two wins.
Team SoloMid vs. XSET
This match was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky as well. TSM started the game on defense and took four rounds, which gave them an advantage over their opponents. XSET was only able to get two rounds during the first half. This resulted in a 4-2 scoreline for the first half. TSM played very aggressively and coordinated that helped them get rounds on the attack. XSET was unable to counter TSM and this led to the former’s loss. TSM won the game with a 7-3 scoreline.
TSM is sitting in second place with four wins and they have qualified for the Six Majors. Meanwhile, XSET is sitting in eighth place with two wins. XSET has no chance for qualifying for the Six Major and if they lose more matches, it might lead them to relegation.
