The Six Berlin Major of the Rainbow Six Siege Esports is set from August 15 to August 21, taking place at Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany. While the Group Stage will be conducted behind closed doors, the Playoffs and Grand Final will be played in front of a live audience.
To celebrate the upcoming Six Berlin Major, a special Jackal Bundle is now available for fans to buy on the esports page of the in-game store. This is important since 20% of the earnings will go straight to the prize pool.
There’s no word yet on the prize pool if it’s similar to the previous Majors, which is $500,000. No list of teams right now but fans can expect to see the top 16 teams across different regions. To qualify, teams need to compete in Regional Leagues across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Besides becoming a champion and taking home a large chunk of the prize pool, the teams are also looking forward to the Global Standings points needed to qualify for the Six Invitational 2023.
The Six Charlotte Major
The Six Majors are considered the biggest international esports events for Rainbow Six Siege. There are three scheduled each year and the last one was Six Charlotte Major 2022 in May.
At the tournament, the Grand Final was between DarkZero Esports and Astralis. It went the distance but in the end, it was DarkZero who won and became the champion. They took home $200,000 and 375 points and are now leading the Global Standing with a total of 600 points.
Rainbow Six Siege Esports
The esports scene of Rainbow Six Siege has four main regions: Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. Each has its own dedicated Regional Leagues, though all of them feed into a unique and global race called the Six Invitational. The teams participating in the Six Invitational are determined by their Global Standings. The top 16 teams in the Global Standings are the ones that earn a spot in the annual tournament.
