It’s time for another weekly update for Red Dead Online, and this one marks more memorable gear incoming for players across all platforms.
Last week was the final week for various rewards associated with Rank 10 and Rank 20, so if you missed out on those then tough luck, as it doesn’t look like it will be coming back soon. Of course, there are still some very good reasons to dust off those cowboy boots and play Red Dead Online, as this week’s update brings in a slew of new content and various bonuses that will be made available to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users.
For starters, starting later today, all Red Dead Online players can jump into the Last Stand and Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Showdown Modes, both of which were only previously available through exclusive early access content on the PlayStation 4. Additional early access content, in particular items such as weapons, clothing and emotes, are now also available to all players.
The Ancient Tomahawk makes its way to the Xbox One today, and can be used alongside the Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Showdown Mode. The Ancient Tomahawk can be acquired through five different Fence locations including Saint Denis, Rhodes, Emerald Ranch, Van Horn, and Thieves Landing. Xbox One players are also now able to enjoy other previous PlayStation-exclusive content, including the Perlino Andalusian Horse, Belanger Saddle, Finley Jacket, Stenger Studded Spurs and Caldwell Hat, as well as two new Emotes - "Boast" and "Hey, You." For those who are seeking carnage like no other, you can also drop in for a game of Last Stand as it’s now available as well for Xbox One players.
There are two new clothing items available at local Tailors across the five states: The Common Flat Cap, which features a modest and humble, yet ultimately smart design, and the Horsfall Overshirt, which is a nice addition to your built-to-last overshirt collection.
Additionally, there is an updated selection of garments and accessories available to all outlaws and gunslingers on the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue for a limited time only, including the Griffith Chaps, Charro Jacket, Clymene Coat and the Vaquero Baroque Spurs.
All equipped Ability cards (including Dead Eye and Passive cards) will accrue XP 20 percent faster throughout the week whenever you use them, whether during Elimination Series or in Free Roam. For the higher-ranking players, stables this week are selling Special Saddles that offer perks like slow Core depletion and regen rates at a generous 25 percent discount. Horses that generally unlock from Rank 41 and above are now also made available at Rank 40. Finally, all hats requiring a Rank Unlock of 30 and above are being reduced to Rank 10.
Red Dead Online is now available to play on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
