Developer Sobaka Studio has just revealed Redeemer: Enhanced Edition which will be coming soon to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. However, PC gamers who own the original Redeemer on PC via Steam need not fret - Sobaka Studio will be upgrading the PC version to the Enhanced Edition for free soon after the console release.
Redeemer: Enhanced Edition is a top-down hack-n'-slash action brawler game. While visually similar to other top-down action RPGs like Diablo and the independent martial arts ARPG Absolver, fans of Redeemer find that the game is more reminiscent of the intense action and blood-fueled rampages of the Hotline Miami series. In Redeemer: Enhanced Edition, players are given endless choices on how to end their enemies - whether its through fists, firearms, or even the interactive and dynamic environment, there's thousands of ways to kill.
Redeemer puts players in the shoes of elite operative Vasily, who is trained in all sorts of violence and death. When the company he works for decides to turn him into a literal killing machine, Vasily escapes to a secluded monastery, and for two decades, lived with monks who tried to teach him peace and tranquility. However, Vasily's past catches up with him and the corporation sends in kill squad after kill squad to eliminate him, starting with the monks that he had come to view as comrades.
Redeemer: Enhanced Edition has been officially announced for all major consoles, including PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. However, if you already own Redeemer on Steam, Sobaka Studio will be upgrading your copy to the Enhanced Edition free-of-charge. PC users can expect the Enhanced Edition to drop for Steam some time after the console release.
