If you’ve always wanted to try out some X-Games activities, but don’t want the hassle of breaking your bones, then give Riders Republic a shot. Revealed during last week’s Ubisoft Forward Event, a good way to describe Riders Republic is that it’s a massive multiplayer outdoor sports playground. It’s a game where players take part in an exciting social playground and to experience the thrill of extreme sports in an open, as well as densely populated, world.
In Riders Republic, players get to compete and perform awe-inspiring tricks. It’s not going to be one sport, but a wide range that includes biking, skiing, and snowboarding. There’s even going to be wing suiting and rocket wing suiting. One thing Riders Republic guarantees is that as long as players explore or gather in a social hub, they are sure to be surrounded by fellow riders.
Riders Republic also lets players ride through some of the world’s most magnificent locations. Examples include, among others, Yosemite Valley, Mammoth Mountain, and even Sequoia National Park.
The different multiplayer modes that players can partake in are:
- Competitive Races and Trick Challenges
- This mode can be played solo or PvP.
- There’s no question that players get to feel the rush in the races and challenges.
- Mass Starts
- This mode allows for as many as 50 players to participate.
- Players need to be able to keep track of their blind spots and protect their position as they fight their way to the finish line.
- Multiplayer Arenas
- The maps in this mode allow for 6v6 PvP matchups.
- Online Cups
- This mode gives players the chance to show off and show out.
There is also a career mode where players can make a name for themselves across different sports as they move their way to the top of the leaderboards. They can even sign with legendary sponsors. The game also lets players customize their rider through the evolutive and progression-based gear.
Riders Republic is set to make the most of next-gen gameplay as it runs at 60 FPS and can display more than 50 players are one time. The camera control and characters, combined with the innovative trick system ensures that everyone can experience the thrill.
Riders Republic is set to be released on February 25, 2021, for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. It’s also going to be available for next-gen consoles like Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Those who buy the versions for the PS4 and Xbox One can upgrade their game to the next-gen version for free.
