With Ubisoft's next Ubisoft Forward event approaching closer, rumors regarding what's expected to be shown at the event have also increased. However, one rumored game that has caught the attention fans is a Prince of Persia remake. Up until now, there were unreliable leaks and rumors about the game, but now an industry insider has come forward to claim that the Prince of Persia Remake is indeed going to be a part of Ubisoft's next digital event on September 10.
The news comes from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier while he on the Triple Click podcast. "They had been planning a new Ubisoft Forward, where they were going to announce a bunch of games like the Prince of Persia remake that was leaked a couple of weeks ago," Schreier stated. "That is planned, it was announced today as being for next week, September 10."
If leaks and rumors are to be believed, the Prince of Persia Remake should release in November for PS4 and Switch. However, Ubisoft has also confirmed that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will also be launching in November, which makes the Prince of Persia release date seem unlikely. However, if what Schreier is saying turns out to be true, then fans don't have to wait long to see for themselves.
It also remains to be seen which Prince of Persia game is being remade. Some rumors have stated that the company will be remaking the entire Sands of Time trilogy, which includes Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and Two Thrones. Other rumors, however, state that it's a brand new Prince of Persia game. If the rumors turn out to be true, then the Prince of Persia remake announcement will be a major highlight of the upcoming Ubisoft Forward digital presentation. The recent announcement trailer for the presentation teased a bunch of games including Watch Dogs: Legion and Immortals Fenyx Rising.
