The last time we reported on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s move to the Nintendo Switch was to reveal what to expect, graphics wise, from the role-playing game’s port to considerably weaker hardware compared its PC and console cousins. But since then, no news of its release date has been divulged by the company. Until now, that is.
The Nintendo Switch release date for the highly popular RPG has potentially been leaked by a European video game retailer named CZC.CZ. The listing says that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is slated for release on the handheld console by September 24, 2019.
Its still a rumor, mind you. But given that CZC.CZ is one of the largest computer and electronics retailer in all of Czech Republic, their statement may possibly hold some weight and could point to this rumor's validity. Some more information that supports this particular rumor can be seen through a post on Reddit, where one fan who pre-ordered the Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt through Gamestop was also given September 24 for a release date as well. Again, take everything written here with a grain of salt. Despite all of the information pointing towards a release date in September, CD Projekt Red did not confirm a release window beyond saying that it will be out by the end of the year.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s release on the Nintendo Switch is set to launch this year on both physical and digital versions. As promised by the developers, the launch will come with the base game and all pieces of additional content ever released. This includes the massive story expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, as well as 16 free DLCs.
If all rumors hold true, the month of September is making out to be a very eventful one for Nintendo Switch fans. Big releases are scheduled for the month such as The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake, third-person shooter DAEMON X MACHINA, Spyro Reignited Trilogy and FIFA 20.
